Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

1. Information We Collect
Cadence Accounting collects only the information needed to respond to your inquiry and provide our services. When you contact us through this website, we collect the details you choose to share: your name, email address, business name, and the information you provide about your business, such as entity type, approximate revenue range, and number of employees.
Like most websites, we may also collect basic technical information automatically, such as browser type and pages visited, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, assess whether our services are a fit for your business, and communicate with you about our services. If you become a client, information you share is used to deliver bookkeeping, payroll, filing, and reporting services under the terms of our engagement with you.
We will never use your contact information to send you anything you didn't ask for, and we will never share your financial information except as required to deliver our services or as required by law. Our handling of personal information is guided by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
3. How Your Data is Stored & Protected
Information you submit through this website is transmitted securely and stored with reputable service providers. Client financial records are maintained in industry-standard, access-controlled systems such as QuickBooks Online, and access is limited to the Cadence Accounting team members who work on your file.
We retain personal information only as long as needed to fulfil the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law. Records related to bookkeeping and tax services may be retained for the periods required by the Canada Revenue Agency and applicable legislation.
4. Your Rights & Contacting Us
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal or professional retention requirements. You may also withdraw consent to further communication from us at any time.
Your records remain yours. If you end your engagement with Cadence Accounting, we will provide you with your financial records and return or securely delete information we no longer need to retain.
If you have questions about this policy or how your information is handled, contact us at info@cadencebookkeeping.ca. A real person will respond.
5. Terms of Use
By using this website, you agree to these terms. The content on this site is provided by Cadence Accounting for general information about our services. You may browse, link to, and share this site for any lawful purpose. You may not copy our content for commercial use, misrepresent your affiliation with Cadence Accounting, or use this site in any way that could damage or impair it.
Submitting an inquiry through this website does not create a client relationship. A client relationship with Cadence Accounting begins only when both parties sign an engagement agreement.
6. Not Professional Advice
The information on this website, including blog posts, guides, and resources, is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice tailored to your specific situation.
Every business is different. Before acting on anything you read here, talk to a qualified professional who understands your circumstances — we'd be happy to be that professional, but only through a proper engagement.
7. Limitation of Liability & External Links
While we work to keep the information on this site accurate and current, it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cadence Accounting is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content.
This site may link to external websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites, and a link does not imply our endorsement.
8. Governing Law & Changes to These Terms
These terms and our privacy practices are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from the use of this website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
We may update this policy and these terms from time to time as our services or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Questions? Contact us at info@cadencebookkeeping.ca.
